TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WFRV) – A woman who was charged in February with mistreatment and abandonment of an animal leading to its death was convicted on a no-contest plea on August 18.
Circuit court records show that 25-year-old Elizabeth Rahmlow pleaded no contest on August 18 to three charges:
- Mistreatment of animals – caused death
- Intentionally abandoning an animal
- Intentionally failing to provide food for an animal

According to the court records, Rahmlow’s address in Two Rivers was changed in May, listing her as an Arizona resident, as she appeared in court for the plea/sentencing hearing.
She pleaded no contest and was ordered to pay over $1,000 in fines; however, she also received a deferred prosecution/sentence for mistreatment of animals resulting in death. The charge will be dropped if she remains crime-free for the next three years.
