GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – With all 32 NFL teams finalizing their initial 53-man rosters, the Green Bay Packers have announced a series of transactions, including player releases, roster designations, and a contract extension for their long snapper.
The Packers released the following players as part of Tuesday’s roster cutdown:

The team placed RB MarShawn Lloyd and C/G Jacob Monk on injured reserve/designated for return. DL Collin Oliver, WR Christian Watson, and G John Williams were placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, while S Omar Brown was placed on injured reserve.
The Packers also signed long snapper Matt Orzech to a contract extension. Orzech has played in 84 regular-season games over his first five NFL seasons, including all 34 contests with Green Bay over the past two years. He previously handled long-snapping duties for the Los Angeles Rams (2021–22) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2019).
The transactions were announced Tuesday by Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

With lots of talent up and down the preseason roster and multiple injuries to account for, the Packers front office has several decisions to make, including who wins the third quarterback role, how offensive linemen will be kept, who makes the cut in the crowded wide receiver room, and will Bo Melton’s switch to cornerback keep him on the roster?
