APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction is just weeks away, and preparations are in full swing.
On Tuesday evening, nearly 30 volunteers gathered at Fox Valley Technical College to pack more than 5,000 goodie bags for race participants.
Pillars in Appleton receives large donation, aiding organization’s goal of providing stable housing
The bags include samples, coupons, brochures, and other complimentary items that runners will receive during marathon weekend, Sept. 19 through 21.
Race Director Julie Johnson said the bags are a small but meaningful way to thank participants and celebrate the community’s support.
