Rapoport added that the Packers are reportedly sending defensive lineman Kenny Clark south to Dallas as the player in the deal.
The Packers are reportedly paying him $47 million a year on a 4-year, $188 million deal. $136 million of the reported deal is guaranteed.
Micah Parsons himself posted the news on social media with the iconic chant ‘GO PACK GO!’
The reported trade comes about four weeks after Parsons requested a trade out of Dallas after negotiations on an extension to stay with the Cowboys broke down.
The superstar pass rusher won the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021. Parsons is a two-time First Team All-Pro and was also an All-Pro in 2023, with four Pro Bowl nods.
Parsons, in four seasons with the Cowboys, has recorded 52.5 sacks and 63 tackles for loss. He’s also forced nine fumbles and finished in the top-3 for AP Defensive Player of the Year voting three times.
UPDATE: Packers announce roster moves to reach initial 53-man limit
Parsons will make his return to Dallas on September 28 as Green Bay visits AT&T Stadium for a Sunday Night Football showdown between the Packers and Cowboys.
The Cowboys have confirmed that the trade is official, receiving a 2026 and 2027 first-round pick in return.
