GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – There was no shortage of support inside the Oneida Casino Conference Center on Friday as community members came together for the 5th Annual KUNHI-YO I’m Healthy conference.
Over 300 people registered for the event, held in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day.

“This event as a whole is important because it tells all of our community that no matter who you and what you have been through, you are important and there is a place here for you,” said Wolf Clan Manager Stephenie Muscavitch VanEvery.
The conference blended culture, education and healing.
“By learning about our culture and including our culture in healing gatherings like this, what happens is people begin to have an innate sense of pride for who they are,” said VanEvery.
Beyond the speakers, much of the day’s focus was seen in booths and displays. Tables lined the halls with recovery artwork, Narcan kits and information on treatment options.
