PLAINFIELD, Wis. (WFRV) – A 43-year-old Wisconsin man is dead following a crash with a semi-truck in Waushara County on Friday.
According to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just before 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 29 to the intersection of 5th Avenue and Archer Avenue in the Town of Plainfield.

A preliminary investigation found that a vehicle traveling east on Archer Avenue failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection. A southbound semi-truck on 5th Avenue struck the vehicle, overturning onto its side as the driver attempted to avoid the crash.
Main Street Bridge in Oshkosh to close until April
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 43-year-old Christopher L. Burns of Hancock, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
