LYONS, Wis. (WFRV) – A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash on Thursday night after reportedly crashing into a car that was pulling out of a parking lot.
According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, multiple 911 calls came in around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday concerning a motorcycle versus car crash on Highway 120 north of Highway 12 in Lyons.
Emergency crews arrived and found a car with two people, and a single rider of a motorcycle who had been ejected from the seat with injuries.
Preliminary investigation reportedly indicates that the car was leaving a parking lot to go south on Highway 120 when it collided with a northbound motorcycle. The car driver, a 17-year-old boy, was treated and released from the scene.
Death investigation underway in Little Chute, woman pronounced dead after medical call
The passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was hospitalized for treatment, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are continuing to investigate the crash.
