GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Firefighters worked quickly to put out a fire at a Green Bay energy facility on Saturday after a spark from equipment started a fire that had spread to the roof.
According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews were called to the 600 block of Liberty Street around 4:40 p.m. on September 13 for a fire alarm response.
When crews arrived, thick black smoke was seen coming from the roof of the facility. It was reported that a spark from equipment sparked a fire that spread to the roof and into the walls.

The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes of arrival.
No injuries were reported. The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage to the building and its contents.
The cause is under investigation.
