SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WFRV) – An investigation is underway after an inmate died on Sunday at the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, on September 14, a correctional officer saw an inmate who was unresponsive in the shower. The officer was doing a security check, authorities said.
The inmate was taken out of the shower and was pronounced dead at the scene. Lifesaving efforts were made by staff.
Officials identified the inmate as 65-year-old Pao Lee.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to do an external investigation regarding the incident.
The investigation is open and authorities say they will not release any additional information until the investigation is completed.
