OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – The Oshkosh Area Humane Society is expressing gratitude and joy after its ‘Walk for the Animals‘ event on September 13 brought in nearly $70,000 in fundraising to help cover medical care for over 3,000 pets every year.
In a release, the Oshkosh Area Humane Society said the event helps to ‘replenish its animal medical fund,’ covering treatments and surgeries. This year, the event surpassed the organization’s $65,000 goal, raising over $68,000.

The event featured a plethora of activities along with the actual walk itself, including the Oshkosh Fire Department and Police Department bringing their respective vehicles for a ‘Touch a Truck’ activity.
Attendees also brought their four-legged friends for some dog games and pup cups, along with raffle tickets for gift baskets and a football autographed by Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
