MONONA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 33-year-old man in Wisconsin was arrested about a week after police say he allegedly broke into a store, stole over $10,000 of property and took it to a scrapyard.
According to the Monona Police Department, officers responded to a commercial burglary report around 11:39 a.m. on September 2, with a manager reporting that a shed had been broken into over the weekend with over $10,000 in stolen property.

Officials identified a suspect, and a week later at 9:30 a.m., a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle driven by the suspect. The suspect, identified as Colton Reindahl of Marshall, had an arrest warrant, and officials arrived to address the case.
Reindahl reportedly told investigators that the stolen property was taken to a scrapyard to assess its metal value, and was arrested on the following charges:
- Outstanding probation, parole warrant
- Party to a Crime – Burglary
- Party to a Crime – Theft of movable property

Reindahl was also supposed to be serving a sentence for multiple convictions on felonies and misdemeanors. Officials say Reindahl has a lengthy conviction history in Dane County for crimes of identity theft, drug offenses as well as theft of movable property.
A 36-year-old man, Andrew Sugden, has been referred for Party to a Crime for both burglary and theft of movable property.
