CALUMET, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say one person is hurt after a vehicle rear-ended a school bus carrying 12 children in Fond du Lac County on Tuesday morning.
According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 7:04 a.m. to County Road W near St. Paul Road in the Town of Calumet for a reported crash involving a school bus.
Officials say a vehicle heading east crashed into the back of the school bus despite the bus having its warning lights and stop arm active.

The bus was said to be carrying 12 students at the time, all of whom were not hurt in the crash. The driver of the crashing vehicle, a 56-year-old from Malone, was transported from the scene with only minor injuries.
The 56-year-old driver reported to deputies that diret sunlight may have been a factor in the crash.
