National Cheeseburger Day is not to be confused with National Burger Day, which is held on May 28 and celebrates the cheese-less version of the burger. Cheese or no cheese, Americans are estimated to consume 50 billion burgers each year.

You won’t have to pay $12.99 or more for a cheeseburger and fries at Applebee’s on Thursday. In celebration of the national food holiday, the restaurant chain is offering any Classic Cheeseburger, such as its Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, Classic Cheeseburger or Classic Burger, with fries for just $8.99.
Buffalo’s Cafe
The Georgia-based wing chain is offering dine-in guests a free Pepsi on Sept. 18 with a purchase of a cheeseburger, according to a company representative.
Buffalo Wild Wings
B-dubs is offering its Rewards members a burger BOGO on National Cheeseburger Day. Sign up to be a Rewards member anytime, even on Thursday, to unlock the deal, which gives members a second burger of equal or lesser value for free, stated a company spokesperson.
Burger King
Burger King isn’t just celebrating on Thursday – it’s offering a whole week of freebies for its Royal Perks members (redeemable by spending $1 or more), according to a company representative.
On Monday, Sept. 15, receive a free hamburger; the following day, free Cini Minis; Wednesday, a free Croissan’wich; Thursday, a free Bacon Cheeseburger; Friday, a free Whopper Jr.; Saturday, a free Cheeseburger; and Sunday, a free Original Chicken Sandwich.
