KEWAUNEE, Wis. (WFRV) – A Green Bay man, who was the alleged suspect in the theft of tires from numerous northeast Wisconsin locations, was arrested after a search warrant and multi-agency investigation.
Deputies with the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office say that on September 18, deputies worked in cooperation with the Seymour Police Department to execute an arrest warrant resulting from numerous tire thefts.

Authorities conducted a search warrant of the suspect’s Green Bay residence with the help of the Green Bay Police Department and Algoma Police Department.
According to the release, authorities seized ‘evidentiary’ items, along with a vehicle and trailer related to the investigation. Illegal drugs were also reportedly found during the search.

As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Cesar Mendoza Mora was taken into custody. Deputies say he is being charged with Receiving Stolen Property. A bail hearing is scheduled for September 22.

“While the initial investigation was based on thefts which involved fraudulent use of credit cards within Kewaunee County, the investigation conducted by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department determined that this was part of a much larger scale operation which continues to broaden,” the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office release stated.
The incident remains under investigation. No additional details were provided.
