JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 29-year-old Wisconsin man accused of bringing a minor over from out of state with sexual intention was officially indicted by a grand jury on September 17.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin, Adam Gurney of Janesville allegedly transported a minor aged 16 or older from North Carolina to Wisconsin with the intent to engage in sexual actions.

The alleged crime occurred between August 11 and August 12, 2025, as officials in North Carolina and Wisconsin combined for the investigation.
If convicted, Gurney faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison with the possibility of a life sentence.
