KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – Excitement (and knowledge) is in the air in Kaukauna as construction has officially begun at a local elementary school, marking the start of many referendum projects in the area.
The Kaukauna Area School District shared photos on Facebook of construction getting underway at Victor Haen Elementary School on Haen Drive.

Other aspects of the referendum projects include the design of a new middle school and other district improvements. Construction of the new middle school is likely to begin in March 2026.
“Students at Victor Haen are already engaged, peeking out their classroom windows to watch the work unfold,” said officials with the Kaukauna Area School District. “Their excitement reminds us of the purpose behind these projects: creating spaces that inspire learning and support student success.”
