44-year-old Pembine man dead from fatal injuries after crashing into a tree

PEMBINE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 44-year-old Pembine man died from injuries he suffered after crashing into a tree on Friday afternoon.

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office reported that a dispatchers were alerted to a one-vehicle crash on Cemetery Road in Pembine around 2:25 p.m. Friday.

According to the report, 44-year-old Jacob Bruneau of Pembine was driving east and failed on a curve, leaving the roadway and crashing into a tree. He was flown out by medical responders; however, Bruneau unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The report indicated that speed was a main factor in the crash, though it is still under investigation.
