(WFRV) – The 2025 World Beer Cup, referred to as the ‘Olympics of beer,’ has wrapped up as three breweries in Wisconsin earned awards, including one in Green Bay.
The annual competition is judged by over 200 professionals who determine the gold, silver and bronze award winners in 117 categories. The gold award goes to the top drink in the category, with the silver going to second-place and the bronze to third-place.
Eastern Wisconsin pub wins second-ever Wisconsin’s Best Burger Contest
Three breweries in Wisconsin out of the 1,761 competitors from 49 nations earned awards, with five drinks taking home honors. There were a total of 8,375 beers and ciders in consideration from judges from 37 countries.
The City of Green Bay’s Hinterland Brewery took home a bronze in the German-Style Altbier category for its Hinterland Altbier. The table below contains each of Wisconsin’s winning beers.
