Child Protective Services called after search warrant in Waupun finds evidence of prescription med dealing, 2 arrested

WAUPUN, Wis. (WFRV) – Child Protective Services were called after a man and a woman in central Wisconsin were arrested when authorities allegedly found evidence of them selling prescription medications.

According to the Waupun Police Department, on November 26, officers got word that two people were allegedly ‘actively’ selling prescription medications from their Waupun residence.

During an investigation, a search warrant was obtained and conducted at the home on Sawyer Street. The search warrant was executed by the Waupun Police Department and the Dodge County Drug Task Force.

As a result of the search, a 36-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were taken into custody on the following charges:

  • 36-year-old woman
    • Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place
    • Possession with the Intent to Deliver Schedule II Drugs
    • Possession with the Intent to Deliver Schedule IV Drugs
    • Neglecting a Child
  • 42-year-old man
    • Possession with the Intent to Deliver Schedule III Drugs

Man hit by two vehicles while crossing I-43 in Brown County, pronounced dead at the scene

Both were taken to the Dodge County Detention Facility and the release noted that the Dodge County Child Protective Services “assisted with the safety and placement of the children that reside at the residence.”
