Cyclist in critical condition after sudden collision with deer on Wisconsin trail

LANNON, Wis. (WFRV) – A cyclist is in critical condition after crashing into a deer on a southeastern Wisconsin bike trail when it suddenly ran out in front of them.

Around 6:45 on the evening of Friday, May 2, officers with the Village of Lannon Police Department got a 911 call reporting a serious crash involving a bicyclist and a deer.

Officers immediately responded to the scene on the Bugline Trail, just north of West Good Hope Road, and found the cyclist suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital. As of Friday night, officers stated that the victim remained in critical condition.
