OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Oshkosh are investigating an incident in which they say a dead dog was found inside a dumpster on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release from the Oshkosh Police Department, officers responded to a multi-tenant property on the 2100 block of Wisconsin Street for an animal complaint involving a dead dog.

One of the residents inside the multi-tenant property told officers that they had found the dead dog inside a dumpster.
Police describe the dog as a black, medium-sized, 3 to 4-year-old female. They add that the dog was found severely emaciated inside a metal dog kennel.
Animal cruelty and neglect will not be tolerated in our community- these acts are both inhumane and unacceptable. If individuals find themselves unable to provide proper care for their pets, there are local resources available to assist.
