GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – It’s the end of an era for a familiar west-side landmark, as demolition began Thursday on the building and greenhouse that once stood at 1263 Shawano Avenue.
The site was home to Green Bay Floral and Greenhouse, a longtime locally owned business that served the community with fresh flowers, plants, and gardening supplies before closing its doors in 2023.

For decades, it was a go-to spot for residents celebrating everything from weddings and anniversaries to funerals and graduations.
The building, recognizable by its attached greenhouse and vibrant seasonal displays, is being torn down to make way for future development.
