Familiar Packers fan fence gets fresh look ahead of NFL Draft for a good cause

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – With the NFL Draft just around the corner, Packers fans are already getting in the spirit, and one of the most iconic sights in Green Bay is playing a part in the celebration.

Local artist Zane Statz is painting fans’ likenesses on the well-known fence located just across from Lambeau Field. The fence, always decked out in green and gold, is now doubling as a charitable effort.

“Basically, the whole premise behind it was people were paying to get their likeness on the fence, and every dollar from those payments went to three local charities,” Statz explained. “It’s really just about the community, the fans, and kind of the big celebration that’s going to be happening next week.”

The fence, clearly visible from Lombardi Avenue, has long been a symbol of Packers pride, and now it’s also a way to give back.
