From stuck to safe, an opossum gets surprise rescue from Neenah Community Service Aides

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – In a unique twist to their usual duties, Community Service Aides (CSAs) from the City of Neenah Police Department recently came to the rescue of a very stuck opossum.

A Facebook post from the City of Neenah Police Department says the animal was found perched on top of a city chain-link fence near a bridge, unable to get down.

Thankfully, the quick-thinking CSAs say they were able to safely help the mischievous mammal and release it back into the wild unharmed.

While CSAs typically handle tasks like assisting with traffic crashes, directing traffic, unlocking vehicles, and enforcing parking rules, this unusual animal call was all in a day’s work.
