Gamblers head coach Patrick McCadden leads team into playoffs with championship pedigree

DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Monday night marks a new chapter in the Green Bay Gamblers’ playoff history as head coach Patrick McCadden makes his postseason debut behind the bench. But McCadden’s playoff pedigree with the team is already well established—he captained the Gamblers to a Clark Cup championship in 2010 as a player.

Now in charge of leading the next generation, McCadden hopes to guide his squad back to title contention, leaning on experience and familiarity with playoff intensity.

The journey won’t be easy. Green Bay enters the playoffs as the 6th seed in the USHL’s Eastern Conference after dropping 10 of its final 12 games to close the regular season. The Gamblers open the first-round series on the road against third-seeded Madison.

Despite the late-season slide, Green Bay is no stranger to first-round success, advancing to the second round last season. With McCadden at the helm and a roster eager to rebound, the Gamblers are hoping to make another deep postseason run.
