Green Bay Police: Foul play not suspected after woman’s body recovered from East River

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department began an investigation recently after a woman’s body was recovered from the East River last Wednesday, and officers now say that foul play is not suspected.

In a release sent out on April 30, officers say the body found in the East River on April 23 has been identified as 26-year-old Arlene Cooper (Micoley) of Green Bay.

Officers also stated that their investigation revealed that foul play was not a cause in her death.

On April 23, officers were sent to an area near the 500 block of Eastman Avenue around 4:45 p.m. after a person said they found a body in the water.

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department assisted police in removing the woman’s body around 5:15 p.m.
