GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The final player in the NFL Draft’s Green Room got the phone call and it was by the host team Green Bay Packers.
Edge rusher Barryn Sorrell, out of the University of Texas-Austin, became the newest member of the Green and Gold on Saturday afternoon as the No. 124 pick.

Local 5 Sports’ Kyle Malzhan was out and about reporting across the Draft Campus when he caught up with Sorrell’s family, who were emotional and excited about the pick.
“I’m grateful for it all, more than anything for the fact that we’re here,” his mother said. “Go Pack Go!”
The family said he’s been special since birth.
