GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – It was a week to remember for Green Bay as about half a million people gathered in Titletown during the three-day NFL Draft.
Day 1 saw over 200,000 people, nearly doubling the entire city of Green Bay’s population. Day 2 was smaller as the weather wasn’t as kind to the fans, but Day 3 was picture-perfect.

It wasn’t just the sights that made it special, it was the quotes. Here are some of the best soundbites and quotes we captured from fans, players and other attendees:
“It obviously has a reputation for being a football mecca. I think you look at not just the history of the stadium itself, but what’s now being built up around the stadium to create a really cool football and fan experience — I think it’s awesome.”
Former NFL quarterback Drew Brees
“This community deserves it. The franchise deserves it. And I think it’s going to be great for the NFL and this country.”
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell
“This is wild. What the NFL has been doing with the draft is really cool. I was in Detroit last year getting to see that, and seeing how they’ve done it here in Green Bay — I can’t wait to see all the people out here.”
Packers Super Bowl champion & all-time leading tackler A.J. Hawk
“It just shows how the community comes together especially in a big football town. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I didn’t want to miss out. I can’t wait to keep getting out and meeting with people, share moments with them.”
Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine
“I’ve been enjoying it, being out here is a blast. We brought the cow in today so we’ve got ‘Moohomes’ as we say, being here in the Dairyland State. The history here in Green Bay is phenomenal.”
Kansas City Chiefs Fan
“I’m grateful for it all, more than anything for the fact that we’re here, Go Pack Go!”
