OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – After reports of gunshots on Oshkosh’s Cherry Street Wednesday night, officers took a 15-year-old Menasha boy into custody the following day.
According to the Oshkosh Police Department, officers began an investigation into a shots fired incident in the 1100 block of Cherry Street around 5:45 p.m. on March 12.

On March 13, Oshkosh Detectives and Investigators from the Vice and Narcotics Unit continued their investigation and took a 15-year-old from Menasha into custody for two counts of First Degree Attempted Reckless Homicide, and First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
The teen was reportedly found in the 500 block of 6th Street in Menasha and was subsequently placed at a secure detention facility.
Detectives conducted a search of a residence and found a handgun. Within 24 hours of the investigation, authorities reportedly recovered a total of three handguns related to the investigation.
