Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo earns 7th straight All-NBA First Team honors

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – While the Bucks’ season ended sooner than they hoped, their superstar and face of the franchise took home honors again.

Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was named to the All-NBA First Team for the seventh consecutive season. It’s also the ninth season of his career that he’s earned any All-NBA nod.

The Greek Freak was the second-highest scorer in the league with 30.4 points per game and finished at No. 6 in rebounds, with 11.9 per game. He also tied his career high in assists with 6.5 a game, good for No. 13 in the league.

In addition, he blocked 1.2 shots a game while putting 60.1% of his shots in the net. He’s the only player in NBA History to score 30+ points per game on a shooting percentage of at least 60%, and he’s done it in successive campaigns.

Amidst his stellar season, Antetokounmpo reached the 20,000 career point mark, the sixth-youngest player in league history to do so, and he’s now No. 9 all-time among active players in career points. He’s at No. 48 on the all-time list at 30 years old.

Antetokounmpo also helped lead the Bucks to an NBA Cup Championship in December, being named the competition’s Most Valuable Player en route to his ninth successive All-Star selection.

The 2024-25 campaign was Antetokounmpo’s 12th season in the league, all of which have come in Milwaukee.
