Next round of rain/t-storms tomorrow night

The latest Northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

High pressure built in to our south last night and finally got rid of cloud cover for today! Plenty of sunshine with bright blue skies held all day long and we will stay mostly clear through tonight.

Tomorrow morning begins still clear and quiet, but as we head into the later afternoon, clouds will increase as our next stormy system moves in.

This system has a warm front attached to it, and as that lifts, it will bring in a bit of a breeze out of the south helping us warm back up into the 60s! This also bring some states in the Central US temps close to 90 degrees! Warm air like this brings the energy and strength needed for strong storms to develop. For us, the best chance for stronger storms will be areas to the southwest Thursday night, moving to the southeast early Friday morning.

This will be an overnight event, so the main impacts Thursday night through Friday morning would very gusty winds and some large hail. Expect thunder and lightning as well.

By daybreak Friday, the severe threat should exit, but rain with a few isolated thunderstorms will linger throughout the rest of the day Friday.

Our next rain and thunderstorm chance moves back in Sunday afternoon.
