Bricks were also salvaged and kept intact as part of the construction for the Merrill Memorial Corner, which is being built on the site of the former school.
About 1,000 bricks were harvested and cleaned from the most historic part of the old building, and are available again to be picked up on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, with one brick per family.
