Outagamie County man brings pediatric cancer display to state’s capital to fight for more funding

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A local advocate has taken his fight for more funding for pediatric cancer research to the state’s capital.

Curtis Vallier, the founder of Battlecorn Global, said a display depicting children battling cancer will be in the Capitol Rotunda this week through Friday. He said he hopes that the display will catch the attention of state lawmakers and Governor Tony Evers and encourage them to find additional funding to fight pediatric cancers and research cures and treatments.

Vallier’s advocacy for childhood cancer patients is deeply personal. He lost his daughter, Jaycee, back in 2021 after a courageous 520-day battle with brain cancer. Jaycee was just 8 years old when she passed away.

Since then, Vallier has become an outspoken advocate, providing a voice for kids who are battling the disease.
