GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Department of Public Works has announced the temporary closure of two downtown Green Bay bridges beginning Monday.
City officials say the Mason Street Bridge and the Bart Starr Memorial Bridge will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6, respectively.
Closure times and detours include:
- Donald A. Tilleman Memorial Bridge (Mason Street)
- Monday, May 5 – Closed 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Closed east of the Fox River on East Mason Street at South Monroe Avenue
- Closed west of the Fox River on West Mason Street at South Ashland Avenue
- The detour is South Ashland Avenue, Walnut Street, and South Monroe Avenue.
- Monday, May 5 – Closed 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Bart Starr Memorial Bridge (Walnut Street)
- Tuesday, May 6 – Closed 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Closed east of the Fox River on East Walnut Street at Washington Street
- Closed west of the Fox River on West Walnut Street at Broadway
- The detour is North Broadway, Dousman Street, Main Street, and North Monroe Avenue
- Tuesday, May 6 – Closed 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Access to residences and businesses will be maintained, and closures and detours are weather-dependent.
