Police in Wisconsin clear driveway of snow following welfare check

WAUSAU, Wis. (WFRV) – A welfare check at a home in Wisconsin led to police taking the time to clear a resident’s driveway of snow.

In a post made on social media by the Wausau Police Department, officers responded to a welfare check at a home on the city’s southeast side only to learn that a medical issue was afflicting the homeowner.

Due to the medical issue, Officer Pierschalla and Officer Bergquist took it upon themselves to take the time to clear the snow from the homeowner’s driveway.

Officials say that without their response and gaining entry to the home, the situation could have had a tragic outcome.
