SafeRide program to deploy nearly 100 drivers during NFL Draft week in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Nearly 100 drivers will be on the roads in Green Bay as part of the Brown County Tavern League’s SafeRide program during the NFL Draft.

Any member establishment needing a SafeRide can simply text a dispatch number, and a shuttle will take individuals to their house, rental, hotel, or campground — all free of charge.

With two days to go before the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, here’s a look at the weather forecast

The shuttles will operate during the following times:

  • Wednesday, April 23: 4 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Thursday, April 24: 12 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Friday, April 25: 12 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Saturday, April 26: 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

In addition to dispatch rides, shuttles will be available on-site at the draft. Designated pickup locations include Tony Canadeo Street across from Badger State Brewing and the Lombardi Access Road near Lambeau Field.

The goal is to offer safe transportation options and reduce the risk of impaired driving.

“We are extremely excited to match one of the largest events in Wisconsin’s history with what we believe is the largest SafeRide system ever created,” said Don Mjelde, Eastern District Vice President of the Tavern League of Wisconsin. “Forty shuttles will be there, so you can leave the keys at home and go enjoy all of our member establishments.”
