Sheriff in Wisconsin collects over two pounds of unused, expired meds during Drug Take Back

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said that its bi-annual Drug Take Back event over the weekend was a success, as it saw plenty of people participate.

Over 2.3 pounds of unused and/or expired medicine were brought into the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend for the Drug Take Back, which helps people dispose of unneeded medicine.

“We appreciate everyone who took the time to participate and help keep our community safe and healthy,” the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said via Facebook.

However, those wishing to dispose of medications safely don’t have to wait for the next time, as the sheriff’s office has a 24/7 drop-off box.
