BRUSSELS, Wis. (WFRV) – The Southern Door High School Student Council partnered with the American Red Cross on Wednesday to hold a blood drive for those willing and able to donate.
The blood drive ran from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the high school gym, with eligible donors lining up to help give blood.
Schools in Neenah host day of activities for students with disabilities
Anybody at least 17 years old, 110 pounds was eligible to donate.
The event was founded as the need for blood continues to be a constant, as nationwide, people need a unit of blood every two or three seconds, the release said.
