NELSON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Buffalo County are investigating a collision between a train and a semi-truck that occurred Wednesday morning.
According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the railroad crossing on Wabasha Dike Road in Nelson. As a result, the crossing is currently closed.

Officials did not confirm whether there were any injuries, but warned that a prolonged closure is expected. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
