Two men arrested after shots fired between vehicles in Wisconsin

FRANKLIN, Wis. (WFRV) – Two young adults were taken into custody Thursday night in southeastern Wisconsin following a report of multiple gunshots.

Officers from the Franklin Police Department responded around 11 p.m. to the 8600 block of West Cascade Drive after a report of numerous gunshots.

An investigation determined that shots had been fired from one occupied vehicle into another occupied vehicle. The vehicle that was fired upon fled the scene and has not yet been located.

Shortly afterward, the Greendale Police Department stopped the suspect vehicle. Two men, ages 22 and 24, both from Franklin, were taken into custody. A firearm believed to have been used in the incident was recovered from the vehicle.

Authorities believe this was an isolated incident involving parties known to each other. There is no ongoing threat to the public. Additional efforts are underway to locate the vehicle struck by gunfire.
