Two tickets split third-largest Badger 5 jackpot in game’s history; one in Sturgeon Bay

(WFRV) – The Badger 5 lottery game from the Wisconsin Lottery came close to awarding its largest jackpot ever over the weekend.

Lottery officials say a $386,000 Badger 5 jackpot was split between winning tickets sold at Tadych’s Marketplace at 1250 N. 14th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay and Kwik Trip at 310 E. McCoy Rd. in Tomah for the Friday, April 25, 2025, drawing.

It is the third-largest Badger 5 jackpot in the game’s history.

According to lottery officials, Badger 5 sales last week totaled $1.2 million — the second-highest sales week ever — trailing only the $1.3 million recorded in May 2020 ahead of the game’s record jackpot of $411,000.

So far in 2025, there have been 28 drawings where the Badger 5 jackpot has been won, including seven jackpots that exceeded $100,000.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers that sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to a maximum of $100,000.

The Badger 5 lotto game is drawn daily after 9 p.m. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 169,911.
