GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — A 36-year-old woman was taken into custody Tuesday following a welfare check on Pine Street in Green Bay.
According to Green Bay Police, officers were called to the 600 block of Pine Street around 5:15 p.m. after witnesses expressed concern that the woman may have been experiencing a mental health crisis.
Inmate dies at Dane County Jail; investigation underway
Police deployed drones to help de-escalate the situation. While the incident remains under investigation, authorities say they discovered a gas leak at the residence that may have been caused intentionally.
Pine Street has since reopened between South Quincy Street and North Monroe Avenue. More details are expected as the investigation continues.

The Green Bay Police Department says officers were called to the 600 block of Pine Street shortly before 5:15 p.m. and remain on scene. Pine Street is currently closed between South Quincy Street and North Monroe Avenue.
Authorities seek public’s help after construction items go missing in Wisconsin
