Warming up and staying dry this weekend

The Latest from Storm Team 5…

A weak through of low pressure is moving through the state today, which has helped keep the clouds around. Associated with it are a few rain showers, but most of this energy is failing to reach our area.

For this evening, we cant rule out a spotty shower early, but most should stay dry with cloudy skies. Temperatures cool into the upper 30s to around 40.

Tomorrow is the fishing opener, and it looks like the weather will cooperate. We begin with clouds and temperatures in the low 40s, but skies should open up in the afternoon. Highs for Saturday will reach the middle and upper 50s to around 60, cooler lakeside in the lower 50s.

If you like the weather for Saturday, it gets even better Sunday. Mostly sunny, temperatures in the middle and upper 60s, possibly reaching 70 in a few spots. Cooler by the lake once again, only reaching the upper 50s.

An omega blocking pattern is beginning to take shape in the upper levels, and for us in northeast Wisconsin, this brings us above average temperatures and drier then normal conditions. A cut off low to our south will bring a small rain chance Monday, but after that, expect about a weeks long stretch of dry weather!
