Waushara County man arrested after Fond du Lac drug bust, police chase

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 43-year-old Waushara County man was taken into custody in late February after a traffic stop led to a police pursuit and the discovery of approximately 38 grams of fentanyl.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign. The driver, identified only as a 43-year-old man from Waushara County, refused to stop, initiating a pursuit.

Deputies deployed a tire deflation device and executed a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver to disable the vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

During a search of the vehicle, authorities recovered approximately 38 grams of fentanyl. The man faces multiple charges, including felony eluding, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, and second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

“This subject has a criminal history involving the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics dating all the way back to 2000,” the sheriff’s office stated on social media.

The suspect remains in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.
