RACINE, Wis. (WFRV) – An 11-year-old from southeast Wisconsin was pronounced dead at the hospital after they were reportedly accidentally shot by their sibling, who was later taken into police custody.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16, officers with the Racine Police Department say they were made aware of a juvenile who had been shot and was being taken to a local hospital by their family.

Officers say the 11-year-old victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to the officers preliminary investigation, the incident took place within a residence in the 2600 block of Prospect Street when the victim was accidentally shot by a sibling. The sibling was subsequently taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
