VILLAGE OF MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (WFRV) – A driver was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) for the fourth time following a crash early Saturday morning, according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
A Facebook post from the department says the incident occurred just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3rd, at the intersection of State Highway 31 (N. Green Bay Road) and Northwestern Avenue (STH 83). Emergency crews from the Mount Pleasant Police Department and South Shore Fire Department responded to the scene.

Police say the vehicle was traveling westbound on Northwestern Avenue when it crashed into a traffic signal on the northwest corner of the intersection. The car sustained heavy front-end damage. The driver reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Authorities later arrested the individual for their 4th OWI offense. The vehicle was towed, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation was called to access the damage to the traffic signal.
The accident remains under investigation.
