MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A woman who reportedly had three children under the age of five unrestrained in her vehicle was arrested for OWI after crashing into another car on Wednesday.
Officers with the Madison Police Department say they were called to the intersection of Williamson Street and South Baldwin Street around 10:20 p.m. on May 28 for reports of a two-vehicle crash.

After an investigation, officers arrested the driver, 24-year-old Shaiti Garcia, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
Garcia reportedly had three children, all under the age of five, in her vehicle at the time of the crash. Officers say that all three children were unrestrained.

Child Protective Services was notified, and the children were turned over to a family member.
Garcia also faces three counts of child neglect.
