Wisconsin nonprofit raising funds to send girl to national competition

LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Miss Amazing, a nonprofit that supports girls with intellectual disabilities through dance and performance opportunities, is working to raise funds so one Wisconsin girl can compete in a national competition.

The national event is set to take place in Chicago this July, and the fundraising effort will help the participant achieve a lifelong dream.

“It’s great to see the energy of other adults with intellectual disabilities on stage and what they do,” said Lynndale Ihm with Miss Amazing. “It’s fun watching the little kids—everybody gets dressed up. They do hair and makeup.”

In the meantime, the girls continue to rehearse in preparation for the competition. You can find more information here.
