VILAS, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people, including a man from Washington and a woman from Wisconsin, are dead following a crash Friday morning in Langlade County, authorities said.
According to a release from the Langlade County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 9:30 a.m. to County Highway C in the Town of Vilas for reports of a crash.

Officials on the scene say a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Matthew Johnson from the State of Washington was heading east when it crashed with a westbound vehicle driven by 56-year-old Victoria Reetz from Langlade County.
Both drivers were reportedly taken to Aspirus Langlade Hospital, where they later died due to the injuries they sustained in the crash.
At this time, no other information is available and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
