GREENVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – Travelers in northeast Wisconsin will soon have another option for sunny getaways, as Appleton International Airport adds a new nonstop route to Fort Myers, Florida.
The seasonal flight, operated by Allegiant Airlines, is scheduled to begin service on November 21, 2025. It will be the airport’s sixth nonstop route to Florida, this one connecting to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), which serves Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Bonita Springs, Naples, and Marco Island.

“This new route will make getting to Florida even easier for residents of northeast Wisconsin,” said Scott Volberding, assistant airport director. “Our focus has always been to make travel faster, easier, and more convenient, and that perfectly matches Allegiant’s investment to expand another route to Florida.”
Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson also emphasized the benefits of expanding service at Appleton.

“Any time a flight is added to ATW, it makes our part of the world a better place to live and work,” Nelson said. “The more accessible we are as a community, the more our businesses can grow.”
Appleton International Airport is currently served by Allegiant, American, Delta, and United Airlines, offering nonstop routes to cities including Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, Dallas, Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago, and New York. It is the third-largest airport in Wisconsin.
